PERSONALITY:

An executive director of and heir to a massive Korean-based conglomerate, he is a shrewd, stoic and meticulous man who prioritizes work and his cat above all else. He is levelheaded and mature, able to keep his composure in even life and death situations, making him seem older than he actually is. Due to his privileged upbringing, Jumin also has a different perspective of the world. Although he is an intelligent and sophisticated man, particularly exceptional when it comes to business matters, he is clueless about everyday life, such as vending machines and bathrooms with no bath tubs. However, he also shows interest in current trends and memes. He likes coming up with quirky cat-related businesses on the side. He also likes to think that he's funny, but he has a strange sense of humor. As a sadist who enjoys ribbing those who annoy him, he can also be pretty savage.

There are only three things he can trust: "cash, cats... and that's pretty much it." Despite this, he does trust his family and has great love and respect for his father, whom he has a good relationship with despite his womanizing ways. His trust issues stem from his family situation and Rich Problems: his lack of a proper role model for love due to his father's inability to find love for himself; the greed he can see in others — especially women, in his experience — as they fail to recognize him rather than his possessions and privilege; and the expectations people place upon him, disregarding his own emotions in the process. Thus, Jumin is afraid of getting hurt and finds it difficult to open up to others, which is why he only has two friends — his longtime childhood friend V, and V's (thought to be deceased) girlfriend Rika — and loves his cat Elizabeth 3rd to bits.

Jumin finds it much easier to be the selfish and pragmatic person he is today. He is unconcerned about how others see him and lives as he likes. In fact, it is because of this that he exudes confidence and believes in himself to the point of arrogance, much to the annoyance of those around him. Thus, talking to him can be like talking to a wall, as he is incredibly self-righteous and steadfast in his beliefs. For example, he calls Yoosung's mom against the boy (and everyone else)'s wishes because he thinks it will do him and his grades some good. He also deems emotions and relationships unworthy of his time, going so far as to say that he's never needed anyone to lean on before. Perhaps it's because of this disinterest in others and interest in perfection that he tends to zoom into details that no one else would care to notice. He only wants to be a man who works efficiently, so he views everything from a logical perspective, making him seem heartless and aloof.

However, Jumin loses his cool when V refuses to reveal his true intentions, hurt that his only friend could not trust him. After all, despite his icy exterior, he believes that family is important. He is loyal to and cares deeply for his father and the RFA, considering them his second family. Although he harbors an unrequited love for the kind and gentle Rika, he is selfless enough to keep his feelings hidden from V, whom he trusts and understands the most. He longs to be accepted and understood by others but he finds this difficult; he is awkward, difficult to relate to, lacks empathy, and can be rather dense. But when he falls in love, he can be incredibly sweet, albeit ostentatious and frighteningly obsessive in his display of affection. In his route he prevents the player character from leaving his penthouse in order to protect her and showers her with presents to make her stay. Due to his fear of betrayal, he's very possessive and wants to be in control of the person he cherishes the most. However, he's aware of how ugly this side of him is, and he's afraid of it consuming him.

MAGIC ABILITY: The ability to control inanimate objects with words. He can scare a door into opening with a mere shout in theory, but Jumin is much more dignified than that. Unfortunately, Jumin isn't very likable with objects as well as people, so this power is a hit-or-miss.

ACCLIMATION: 7. Being abducted to another world should be downright impossible with his world's current technology, but he can keep a level head in spite of the most stressful situations. Leaving his cat Elizabeth 3rd back home will take a toll on him, though.
